Women can join online forums and support groups, such as ADDmirable women, and local ADD/ADHD support groups through ADDA and CHADD.
The most important thing women suffering from ADD must realize is that they aren't isolated. add women is often misunderstood by doctors who are looking for signs that are more typical of males. In addition, hormonal changes such as those experienced during puberty, PMS and perimenopausal changes can cause or exacerbate ADD.
